How To Test A Dryer Heater
To test a dryer heater you will need an ohmmeter. It is very important that you unplug the dryer before attempting any repair. Once you have gained access to the dryer heater, remove the wires attached to the dryer element terminals. These will be heavy duty wires. Using an ohmmeter, check for resistance across the two terminals. If the dryer heater is bad, you will be unable to read any resistance.
